"Could Not Support 500 People": Engineer On Gujarat Bridge Collapse
"This bridge was never a tourist attraction. I had examined the bridge myself in 2006. I had submitted a report to the authorities back then, but nothing happened. The bridge was not strong enough to take 500 people at once," Satish C Dhupelia, senior civil engineer, said after the Morbi bridge collapse that killed over 130 people.
