Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia is being questioned by the CBI for alleged money laundering in allowing a new excise policy for Delhi. The policy was scrapped after the Lieutenant Governor ordered the CBI probe. Defending his colleague, Aam Aadmi Party, or AAP, MLA Saurabh Bharadwaj told NDTV that the action against Mr Sisodia is being aimed at the AAP’s Gujarat election campaign. Mr Bharadwaj said the BJP-led centre doesn't want Mr Sisodia to campaign in Gujarat. "Our Gujarat campaign will only intensify if Manish Sisodia is arrested," the MLA said, adding the party believes Mr Sisodia will be arrested today. "The arrest, if that happens, would have nothing to do with the excise policy matter. It would be a political matter," he said.
