Leicester Square was splashed with colour and cheer as women and men took to the streets in the heart of London to celebrate Gujarat. The United Kingdom is home to approximately 1.2 million British-Indians, 800,000 of whom are of Gujarati descent. To celebrate their heritage, many gathered at Leicester Square to perform garba, which is a form of dance that originates from Gujarat and received UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity tag last year. NDTV's Radhika Iyer reports the annual festivity.
