Gujarat in Hepatitis-B prevention mode
After the Hepatitis-B situation worsened in the state, the Gujarat government has now fully gone into the prevention mode. Almost 60,000 people will be vaccinated in 62 booths by 2000 health department employees. But a day after Modi government swung into action and arrested Dr Govind Patel -- the owner of a private hospital in Modassa -- other doctors in the area are now protesting the arrest of their colleague. These doctors are demanding that all cases be withdrawn against Dr Patel who was arrested for using reused needles that led to the outbreak.
