Modern healthcare services for newborns are rapidly expanding in government hospitals across Gujarat. The state government has established 58 Special Newborn Care Units (SNCUs), where over 70,000 infants received free treatment last year. These centers provide advanced medical care for newborns with low birth weight, respiratory issues, and other complications, significantly reducing neonatal mortality rates.
