The stage is set for the second and final phase of polling in Gujarat assembly elections today covering 95 seats in central and northern parts of the state much of which were worst hit by post-Godhra riots.More than 1.87 crore voters are eligible to decide the fate of 599 candidates, including Chief Minister Narendra Modi, contesting in the final phase in which ruling BJP hopes to retain its hold on an area the party had swept in the previous elections in 2002 riding on a Hindutva wave.
