Gujjars threaten to resume agitation
Different Gujjar factions have come together threatening to restart their agitation for Scheduled Tribe status after the Justice Chopra panel, set up by the Rajasthan government did not recommended ST status for them. And Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has wrested the onus on the Centre. The Gujjar agitation that turned violent in May this year was brought under control when the Raje government set up the Justice Chopra committee to look into their demands.
