The Haji Ali dargah in Mumbai is ready for a makeover where a sparkling white marble monument will replace the 60-year-old concrete building. "Now there will be better facilities for pilgrims," said Abdul Sattar Merchant, Chairman, Haji Ali Dargah Trust. The shrine dates back to 1430. But the building was built few decades ago with reinforced cement concrete. The new structure will be a replica of the existing dargah complete with calligraphy, carved minarets and inlay work.
