Ismail Haniyeh, the chief of Hamas' political bureau, has been killed in a Tehran attack. Hamas has blamed Israel for the killing. In a chat with NDTV's Mohammed Ghazali and Vishal Vivek, Dr. Omair Anas, Research Director, Centre for India-West Asia Dialogue, said that the killing of Haniyeh will change the dynamics of West Asia forever. :"Hamas' leadership in unlikely to face a power vacuum," Anas said. Commenting on Iran, Anas said that it will opt for controlled retaliation as it does not have the capability to hit Israel directly. The West Asia expert added that the latter is much stronger.
