In today's episode of India Global, Palestinian militant outfit Hamas has on Monday praised the Arab-Islamic Ministerial Committee's meeting outcomes, calling for heightened international pressure on Israel to cease its 'genocidal war' in Gaza. This follows a critical meeting held in Cairo, attended by representatives from Arab and Islamic states, alongside EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas. The committee voiced deep concern over the collapse of the Gaza ceasefire, emphasising the devastating toll of Israel's renewed airstrikes, which have already claimed over 700 lives since only last Tuesday, including countless women and children. In their statement, Hamas urged for immediate action on the promises made at the meeting, particularly the restoration of humanitarian aid to Gaza, which remains blocked by Israeli forces. They also backed the Arab initiative for Gaza’s reconstruction, calling for sustained efforts to rebuild the war-torn enclave.
