"I am very comfortable in being a baddie. We need to let our girls be overtly ambitious," says actor Kangana Ranaut speaking about her struggles in life and how they shaped her. She revealed that she was physically abused as a 17 year old by an industry insider. "This man who used to be my father's age, he hit me so hard that... I fell on my head and it started to bleed," she said. The 28-year-old said she retaliated by hitting her abuser on his head. That incident, she said made her "a total badass" and made her realise that "I am actually a born fighter". She also spoke of how she was "embarrassed" to see her colleagues endorsing fairness products and how ambitious women in the India are "looked down upon" and made to feel "you are not a nice person."
