Harassment In Online Classrooms: A New Emerging Challenge
Nearly 1.5 billion children around the world have been kept away from school for at least three to four months under lockdown orders. In response, many schools have shifted to an online venue. With the expansion of internet communication technologies among children and young adults, who account for 60 per cent of online users in India, a relatively new threat to the safety of children has emerged - harassment through virtual means. On FYI, we bring to you one such case reported in Tamil Nadu and how online child sexual abuse is on the rise globally.
