Attempts have been made to buy our MLAs in Punjab, AAP leader Raghav Chadha told NDTV today. "The BJP under 'Operation Lotus' has been trying to topple the Punjab government," he said. Mr Chadha made the comments on a day the Bhagwant Mann government in Punjab made a fresh recommendation for a special assembly session to take a majority test, a day after Governor Banwarilal Purohit blocked the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government's move for a majority test. The Bhagwant Mann-led government, which has accused the BJP of trying to poach its MLAs, wants to take a test of strength in the assembly to prove that all its legislators are with the party. "We have both audio and video evidence of BJP offering money to AAP MLAs. We have met and submitted this evidence with the Punjab DGP and an FIR has been filed too," he said.
