Have We Forgotten Nirbhaya?
On 'NDTV Dialogues', we focus not just on whether the documentary 'India's Daughter' should be shown in India, but also a larger issue that has been raised - why is it that the Nirbhaya case is still pending in appeal in the Supreme Court? There hasn't been a single hearing since May last year. For the parents, it's now been three years since their daughter was brutally killed. And progress in this case has been fast compared to other rape cases in India. We look at 'Justice For Nirbhaya' and also at media censorship, as the govt throws the book at filmmaker Leslee Udwin, for making this documentary. Both these became issues in Parliament on Wednesday.
