HD Kumaraswamy Plans Lunch For Alliance Partners At Farmhouse, Poll Body Forces Him To Cancel
In Karnataka, JDS leader HD Kumaraswamy cancelled a lunch for alliance leaders at his farmhouse. Election Commission officials thwarted the plan at his farmhouse in Bidadi, on the outskirts of Bengaluru. It is a tradition lunch generally organised by Vokkaligas on the second day after Ugadi. The lunch was organised in view of Ugadi festivities. The poll body cancelled it citing model code of conduct, and that no permission was sought.
