Rahul Gandhi officially resigned as the Congress chief today and thanked the country and the party for the support. A new Congress president will be chosen "within a week", party sources told NDTV. Lawmaker Abhishek Manu Singhvi said, "We have to regroup, we have no time, we can't afford even a day's delay."
