Heatwave: 45 Degrees New Normal, In North, Central, East India
Amid a punishing heatwave building up in northwest India, the maximum temperature in Gurgaon crossed the 45 degrees mark today. The maximum temperature today was 45.6 degrees Celsius, the Indian Metereological Department said. India today reported 3,303 fresh COVID-19 cases that took its tally to 4,30,68,799, while the active cases increased to 16,980, according to Union Health Ministry data.
