Heavy Rain In Western Up, Farmers Wary
Farmers in Uttar Pradesh are facing a tough time this monsoon season. First, there was scanty rainfall when Kharif crops were being sown. Now that crops are standing in fields, incessant, heavy rainfall across the state particularly in the western part threatens major damage - specially to major crops like sugarcane and paddy. Apart from the crop damage, life has also been thrown out of gear in many districts because of the rain.
