Heavy Security In Delhi's Jahangirpuri Amid Eid, Akshaya Tritiya Festivities
As the country celebrates Eid and Akshay Tritiya, the celebrations will also take place at Northwest Delhi's Jahangirpuri, where clashes broke out between two communities during a Hanuman Jayanti procession on April 16, leaving eight police personnel and a local resident injured. The municipal authorities had also demolished encroachments in the area which added to the tension. Today, the police authorities have increased security in the area.
