The Enforcement Directorate is carrying out raids in Jharkhand's capital city Ranchi and Rajasthan in connection with the illegal mining case. Searches are being carried out at 12 locations including at Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren's press advisor Abhishek Prasad's residence. Mr Soren was issued a "last opportunity" by the ED to record his statement in an alleged land scam days ago and has replied to the agency, labelling his summons as illegal. In his letter to ED, Mr Soren also said that he has already given the details of his properties. He has so far skipped six summons. Amid the ED searches at various locations, a key Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) legislature meeting has been called today evening.
