Hen that laid golden egg destroyed: Sibal on flop 2G auction
The flop auction of second-generation or 2G airwaves has led to the government admonishing "I told you so." Telecom Minister Kapil Sibal appeared to blame both the Supreme Court -which had ordered the auction - and the government's auditor, CAG, which said that the country had lost upto Rs. 1.76 lakh crore because telecom licences and spectrum were not auctioned in 2008.
