Hearing a petition challenging the filming of Varanasi's Gyanvapi mosque, the Supreme Court ordered Gyanvapi mosque case will be heard by a "more experienced and senior" judge in Uttar Pradesh. The top court while listening to passionate argument from both sides stressed on the need for fraternity between communities and need for peace being the topmost priority for the court - and said that there was a need for a 'healing touch'. The question is, by essentially reiterating its interim order and allowing now for a more senior, experienced judge to continue hearing the survey case, has the top court given a healing touch?
