In Meghalaya, there is a multi-cornered fight for both the Lok Sabha seats. There are 10 candidates in the fray and a lot is at stake for multiple political parties, where the BJP has backed out of the contests to keep the NDA votes undivided but its key ally Conrad Sangma's NPP fielded women candidates for both the seats has the task cut out to hold on to PA Sangma's legacy and clinch the prestigious Shillong seat from Congress that it has held for over three decades, making the contests more cut throat is Trinamool Congress.
