High Tomato Prices Disrupt Household Budgets
The price of tomatoes, which usually stays around Rs 20-30/kg during winters, has more than doubled to almost Rs 95 per kg in southern parts of India following heavy rains in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu. Other vegetables have also witnessed a significant price rise, hitting household budgets.
