No hijab, no exam. That's what a parent whose child studies at a government school said today as students returned to class amid the hijab ban row in Karnataka. Some students at schools in Udupi and Shivamogga chose not to write their exams because they were refused permission to do so while wearing a hijab or headscarves. In some other areas, students in hijab who wanted to sit for exams were told they can't.
