Pro-Hijab Protesters Beaten Near Delhi
On a day on which a video appeared showing the police striking anti-hijab protesters in Ghaziabad near Delhi a few days back, Karnataka's hijab row played out for the fourth day in the High Court on Wednesday, with the Chief Justice hearing arguments from Muslim girls who have challenged restrictions on wearing the religious headscarves in classrooms. On the show tonight, some very special guests, including Majiziya Bhanu, a World Powerlifting world Champion, who has risen to the top and proudly wears the hijab. There are others who say the hijab is regressive and should be done away with.
