"Many In Party Want To Be Chief Minister," Says Himachal Congress Boss

Himachal Pradesh Congress chief Pratibha Singh said the people in the hill state want change. Ms Singh, the wife of former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, said people in Himachal Pradesh are smart and educated and they vote on issues. She indicated she has no desire to be the Chief Minister. "Many people in the Congress want to become Chief Minister, but am not very ambitious," she said. "The MLAs and the high command will decide who will be the Chief Minister if we win," she said.
