Five people were killed amid heavy rain in Himachal Pradesh today, triggering landslides and flash floods. Several cars were washed away in the popular tourist place Kasol. All major rivers are in spate, officials said, adding the local weather office issued a fresh red alert of extremely heavy rain (above 204 mm) in 10 out of the 12 districts, barring tribal districts of Kinnaur and Lahaul and Spiti.
