Historic high: Sensex hits 12,000 mark

You may choose to call it the 2:30 factor or pure momentum. The Sensex reached another milestone on Thursday and crossed the 12,000 mark for the first time ever. It slipped to a low of 11,866 levels in intra-day trade. The journey from 11,000 to 12,000 levels was completed in just 19 days. It ended the day at 12,039 levels.
