HMPV Virus | Karnataka Health Minister Downplays HMPV Virus Cases Amid Rising Concerns
As two children in Karnataka are diagnosed with Human Metapneumovirus (HMPV), Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao reassured the public that there is no cause for panic. He emphasized that HMPV is a common flu virus causing respiratory symptoms, noting that the child in question is recovering and will be discharged soon. Minister Rao also confirmed that discussions with the Government of India and ICMR are underway to monitor the situation but stressed that it is not a serious concern at this time.
