The Rafale controversy has exploded after the revelations of former French President Francois Hollande. This on the night when the pushback has begun against the Hollande revelations - from the Indian government, to France, to Dassault, the parent company of Rafale issuing responses. But Mr Hollande remained steadfast on his core charge, given in an interview that India proposed the name of Anil Ambani's Reliance Defence to France as the Indian partner for the multi-million dollar Rafale fighter jet deal, rebutting Indian government claims that India had no role in selecting the group.
