Lakhs of pilgrims have gathered for the Ardh Kumbh mela in Allahabad for the first dip of the holy ritual under the auspicious full moon. Some of them will stay for as long as a month to do the Kalpvas or the ritual pilgrimage, which is very important for any Hindu.
