Union Home Minister Amit Shah is on a three-day visit to the Northeast, where he will be attending several key events in Assam and Mizoram. This visit is the home minister's first visit to the region after President's Rule was imposed in Manipur last month.
Amit Shah would be at the Lachit Barphukan Police Academy in Assam's Dergaon on Saturday, where he will inaugurate new buildings of the academy in the presence of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
He will then fly to Mizoram's capital Aizawl, where he will be part of the shifting of Assam Rifles establishments from Aizawl to Zokhaw-sang.
