Home Minister travels to Lal Chowk in Srinagar

For the first time the Home Minister of India visited Lal Chowk, the epicentre of Kashmir politics which has been a separatist bastion. Sushilkumar Shinde reviewed the security situation and also discussed measures to control infiltration with the J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. There was no restriction on traffic and civilian movement when the Home Minister along with Mr Abdullah visited Lal Chowk and other areas of Srinagar city.
