Homes in Mumbai have been submerged in knee-deep water as the city and adjoining areas continue to be battered by record rain. A resident of Mumbai's Mira Road Colony showed NDTV around his flooded home, where his belongings are seen floating about. "Water usually enters my house during rain but this is the first time that my house has been flooded like this," he says. He added that when water entered their homes last time, he and his neighbours had decide to increase the height of their compound. The man said that in spite of doing that, dirty water entered their homes through bathrooms.
