Hope Parliament Will Clear Triple Talaq Law, Says President
The budget session of Parliament commenced today with President Ramnath Kovind's address to a joint sitting of both houses as the Narendra Modi government readies to present its last full budget before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. The government plans to push through several key bills. These include one banning instant triple talaq and another that will give constitutional status to the Commission on Other Backward Castes.
