AIIMS chief Dr Randeep Guleria has said healthcare infrastructure in Delhi is already stretched and any rise in COVID-19 or dengue cases will be a big problem. "Healthcare infrastructure (in Delhi) is already stretched because we have not only a high number of dengue cases, but people are now coming in with respiratory and cardiac issues due to bad air quality. There are also increasing number of influenza cases at this time of the year. Therefore, a surge in COVID-19 cases now will overburden hospitals," Dr Guleria said as Delhi battles the triple trouble of bad air quality, rising COVID-19 cases and the highest number of dengue cases in three years.
