Housemaids becoming victims of abuse
The housemaids in the homes of cities all around the country do find work, but at what cost? Even today, India's domestic workforce is not recognised under any labour law. This leaves them completely at the mercy of the families they work for or the placement agencies that bring them in, with assurances of fair treatment and pay.
