A WhatsApp message from an unknown number to none other than Assam Chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma led to a CID investigation into a case of the alleged suicide of a 13-year-old Adivasi domestic help in Darrang district to figure out that there was a cover-up by the top police officials of the district to turn a case of rape and murder of the minor girl to suicide allegedly after being bribed by the accused.
