"How Can One Portray Atiq Ahmed As Martyr?": Supreme Court Lawyer
Senior Supreme Court advocate and Rajya Sabha MP from the BJP, Mr Mahesh Jethmalani countered Senior Supreme Court advocate Kapil Sibal on Atiq Ahmed and his brother's murder and asked how anyone could portray them as martyrs when they were "major mafiosos". He went on to say that Mr Sibal's claim of the "murder of democracy" falls flat when confronted with the fact that the atrocities committed by the victims "went on under the noses of the then Samajwadi Party government in UP".
