A large quantity of chocolates contaminated with ganja was confiscated by the police. According to reports, the Narcotics Enforcement Wing in Hyderabad seized over 5,800 kilograms of ganja-laced chocolates in the first quarter of this year. The alleged target market for these chocolates was youngsters in schools and colleges, who may be tempted to try them due to peer pressure or curiosity, potentially leading to addiction. To address this issue, the Telangana police have established anti-drug committees in over 3,500 schools, comprising teaching and non-teaching staff, to identify and support students who may be struggling with drug use.
