The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) will release guidelines by October-end on how to apply for internships in companies, a decision that was announced in the Union Budget this year. An MCA panel will shortlist applications and send them to companies based on vacancies. Websites of companies will also show the total number of internship positions available. The companies are not obligated to hire all applications sent by the MCA. The MCA may also list the top 500 companies by average corporate social responsibility spending over the last three fiscal years.
