The opposition BJP in Karnataka is protesting in front of four taluk offices in Bengaluru - Kengeri, Anekal, KR Puram, and Yelahanka. Top BJP leaders such as R Ashok and Ashwath Narayan will leading the protest in different places. This is mainly to protest the Karnataka Waqf issue, and what the BJP terms as the Congress's anti-farmers' stand. They are also demanding the resignation of Minorities Minister Zameer Khan. BJP has been alleging that the Karnataka government is evicting farmers to give the land to the Waqf Board. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has asked officials to withdraw notices served to farmers concerning Waqf land, as the BJP escalated the issue with a statewide protest.
