Huge win for Left, comfort for Congress
The ruling Left Front has captured power for the fourth consecutive term in Tripura while Meghalaya has got a hung verdict with Congress emerging as the single largest party. The Red bastion in Tripura remains intact, the Left Front has won a huge landslide in this northeastern state coming back to power with more than two-thirds majority trouncing the Congress and its tribal ally, the INPT.
