Hyderabad Metro A Favourite Among IT Professionals, Students
The Hyderabad Metro was launched in November 2017 and, in a little over six years, it has carried over 40 crore passengers. Every day, about 5 lakh passengers use the three lines over 69 km. Interestingly, it is most popular with IT professionals, followed by students and women. The Hyderabad Metro has 57 trains that run at a frequency of 3-5 minutes. The platforms are long enough for 6 coaches on each train; however, so far, trains have only 3 coaches. On popular demand, coaches will soon be increased so more commuters can use the metro.
