I am not a victim, I am a fighter: student who was molested in a tempo

When three men tried to assault a 23-year-old American student in Lucknow, they were they in for a surprise. The girl fought back, even kicking one of them. But the student says she woke up to headlines in most newspapers calling her a defenceless victim of molestation. She says she's no victim. "The story that's being told is only one of helplessness, and of women who can't fight back and who can't defend themselves and we are not teaching our daughters to fight back, and we are teaching men that they can get away with this. And I think that's very very wrong. It's morally reprehensible," she says.
