Former India Badminton star Prakash Padukone on Monday was conferred the Badminton Association of India (BAI) Lifetime Achievement Award by the Vice-President of India for putting India on the Badminton map of the world by winning gold at the 1978 Commonwealth Games and the All England Championships in 1980. In his speech, Padukone said that he played Badminton for the love of the game and expected nothing in return.
