Union Minister Jayant Sinha said he regrets garlanding people accused in a mob lynching case in Jharkhand. "I am against vigilantism and I regret the garlanding," the Minister of State for Civil Aviation said at an interaction with Shekhar Gupta on Off The Cuff. Mr Sinha had sparked a controversy after pictures of him felicitating eight men accuse of lynching in Jharkhand went viral on social media earlier this year. "I am against violence. I am against vigilantism," the minister said. On bad loans hurting the economy, he said the government has done a lot to deal with structural problems in the economy. "People trust the government to do the right thing," he said.
