I Overcame My Skin Colour Complexion Through Dance: Mithun Chakraborty

In an exclusive interview with NDTV, Dadasaheb Phalke Award winner Mithun Chakraborty spoke about his journey to becoming a legend of Indian cinema. Mithun talked about the struggles he faced in his early career over his skin complexion as many actresses refused to work with him. These rejections led to Mithun taking up dance as he felt the movements of his feet and his dance moves would allow people to ignore his skin colour. Mithun also praised Zeenat Aman for being the first actress who was willing to work with him as it gave his career a great boost in its early stages.
