This festive season just got sweeter for Delhiites as their favorite 'Ghantewala,' the centuries-old iconic outlet in Old Delhi's bustling Chandni Chowk market, has reopened its doors, ending an almost decade-long craving for its popular sweetmeats. Established in 1790 by Lala Sukh Lal Jain, Ghantewala, one of the most famous landmarks of 'Dilli 6' or old Delhi is renowned for its melt-in-the-mouth sweets such as 'Sohan Halwa' and 'Karachi Halwa.' The shop was forced to shut down in 2015 due to dwindling sales.
